A begining

Safed, Israel in June 2013

The only person who might ever read this is me. But that’s okay. As I’ve begun to travel, I realize that photos are only capturing part of my trips. And while I can flip through Facebook to reminisce anytime, those photos are always going to be missing something. Something detailed, something more. So here’s the other side, the words, the feelings, the memories not captured. Maybe it’s because my phone was stolen in Madrid (true), or maybe because I didn’t want to drop it in the ocean as I floated and drank in a lagoon. Or maybe, just maybe, it’s because so there’s so much more to traveling than a photo can ever capture.
